Welcome to Wilsonville

Southern gateway to the Portland metropolitan area, the award-winning community of Wilsonville is the 5th fastest growing city in Oregon. Located just off I-5, 17 miles south of Portland, Wilsonville was settled by Alphonso Boone (grandson of Daniel Boone) in 1846. Boone also established the Boones Ferry that crossed the Willamette River in 1847. First called Boones Landing, the community became Wilsonville officially in 1880.

Home to technology outposts like Mentor Graphics and Xerox and manufacturing and distribution facilities for Coca-Cola, Rite Aid, FLIR Systems, and Solestruck, Wilsonville is far more than a bedroom community for Portland commuters.

Amenities include Clackamas Community College and Pioneer Pacific College, the Wilsonville Public Library (featuring Wilsonville resident and children’s book author, Walt Morey’s eponymous Children’s Section), Carabella Vineyard winery, and the Family Fun Center and Bullwinkle’s Restaurant (mini-golf, laser tag, arcade, and more). With convenient and plentiful shopping, a nine-screen cinema, two nurseries, a Sunday Market, and the Town Center Park (featuring the Korean War Memorial), there’s plenty to do.

Well known for being the origin of the only home in Oregon designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the Gordon House was later moved to Silverton’s Oregon Garden in 2001.
